On October 1, 2013, the Securities and Exchange Commission announced an award of more than $14 million to a whistleblower whose information led to an SEC enforcement action that recovered substantial investor funds.

Individuals who voluntarily provided the Commission with original information after July 21, 2010 that led to the successful enforcement of a covered action listed below are eligible to apply for a whistleblower award.
