The Department of Labor’s Occupational Safety and Health Administration’s (OSHA) new whistleblower protections for sailors will go into effect on Thursday.
OSHA issued these new protections in its “Procedures for Handling of Retaliation Complaints Under the Employee Protection Provision of the Seaman’s Protection Act.”
