In recognition of National Whistleblower Day, Whistleblower Network News (WNN) produced “Whistleblower Voices: Conversations with Whistleblowers in Celebration of National Whistleblower Day,” a six-part video series airing from Monday, July 25 through July 30. The series features interviews with over twenty-five whistleblowers from around the world hailing from various industries. FBI whistleblower Jane Turner, the series host, asks each whistleblower three questions eliciting their advice and wisdom. Their answers aim to help support whistleblowers and provide insights to change negative perceptions about them.
“I call them Prophets of Truth; Dr. Nigel MacLennan calls them ‘People of Integrity.’ The real description is heroes. At WNN, you can hear heroes in their own words each day during the week leading up to National Whistleblower Day,” said Jane Turner, who also hosts WNN’s Whistleblower of the Week podcast.
“Whistleblower Voices” includes conversations with Sherron Watkins, Alison Gill, Bradley Birkenfeld, Johannes Stefansson, Mauro Botta, Mosilo Mothepu, Noel McGree, Yasmine Motarjemi, and several others. It premieres on July 25 at 10 am (EST).

The United States first recognized the date of July 30 as National Whistleblower Day in 2011. Research by Stephen M. Kohn, Chairman of the National Whistleblower Center, uncovered the first whistleblower law passed in the United States on July 30, 1778. This date is a day to honor all whistleblowers, celebrate their accomplishments, and recognize the profound history that brought us here.
