The NWLDEF works closely with the National Whistleblower Center (NWC) to help it further their mutual goal of protecting and empowering whistleblowers to fight corruption and other wrongdoing. Unfortunately, many whistleblower laws are weak and there are loopholes in coverage. Highly qualified and deserving whistleblowers often have a difficult time obtaining legal counsel. This is caused in large part by problems in the law. We urge you to join NWC’s ACTION ALERT network. These networks enable whistleblowers and their supporters to shape government policy and expand legal protections for whistleblowers.

Given the constant assault on whistleblower laws waged by organizations such as the U. S. Chamber of Commerce, it is imperative that whistleblowers and their supporters make their voices heard.
