Double Exposure Film Festival to Feature Films Centered on Investigative Journalism

News organization 100Reporters is hosting the annual Double Exposure Film Festival from October 13-17. The festival, now in its seventh year, will take place both in person and virtually.

The film festival centers documentaries and films about and inspired by investigative journalism and journalists. The opening night of the festival will take place on October 13 and features a screening of Sonia Kennebeck’s film United States vs. Reality Winner, a documentary about National Security Agency (NSA) whistleblower Reality Winner. After the screening, Winner herself, along with her mother Billie, sister Brittany, and lawyer Alison Grinter will engage in conversation with Kennebeck, producer Ines Hofmann Kanna, and Comcast newsmaker Tetiana Anderson, according to a tweet from the festival’s account. The festival will also include panels featuring journalists and filmmakers that cover a variety of topics, including the recently published Pandora Papers, fact checking, a pro bono legal clinic, and writing workshops.
